The billboards are up (in Chicago at least) and the second trailer has just been dropped, so I guess New Films is moving forth with their theatrical release of Chain Letter, Deon Taylor's slasher that features a strong genre cast of Michael Bailey Smith (The Hills Have Eyes II), Nikki Reed (Twilight), Noah Segan (Deadgirl, All About Evil), Keith David (The Thing, My Place in the Horror), Betsy Russell (Jigsaw's wife in the Saw films) and Matthew Cohen, among others. The pic tells the tale of a maniac (played by Bailey Smith) who targets teens when they fail to forward chain mail.
"When high school senior Jessie Campbell (Nikki Taylor) and her tight-knit group of friends begin to receive a series of foreboding email chain letters, they have no idea the terror that awaits them. With a warning that if they break the chain, they will lose a life, the seemingly harmless email turns deadly when one-by-one the friends that do not forward the chain letter are hunted down and gruesomely killed by horror's newest villain, the Chain Man."
because of Nikki-Reed(Twilight)idont think ifeel comfortable to watch this movie even though its a slasher flick.... now a days ihate anything tht associates with twilight,disney or any neo-teenie garbage tht we see these days... iguess im having twi-phobia... god damn 20's Lame ass teenagers
All I want is a high octane, tense, slasher film. I can't think of any decent ones that have had me squirming in my seat in a long time. Maybe this is it? Maybe not. We'll see.
I actually think this looks entertaining. Still think it should be going DTV but if it plays in a theatre near me, I'll see it.
